This week’s blog post is another one of the suggested topics from the lovely members of the Virtual Bird’s Business Support Group and the topic for this week is how a Virtual Assistant can help to manage your social media.

Before we go any further, go join the group! It’s a lovely friendly bunch and no questions are silly questions, everybody wants to help with your business 🙂 From advice, to questions, to support, it’s a really good bunch to be around.

As a small business owner you wear a lot of hats. You’re the seller, the writer, the photographer, the shipper, the product designer and so much more – so why add social media manager onto that?!

By handing over some (or the majority!) of your social media over to your Virtual Assistant, it gives you free time to focus on other aspects of the business or just take a well earned break.

One of the most common questions we get asked by clients is what do we do for their social media? The answer is everything! We can do as much or as little as you need, it’s all about how much you want to outsource and what you’d like to reign control over.

Just some of the duties your Virtual Assistant can help with include:

  • Curating content
  • Scheduling content
  • Page maintenance (photo album updating, about section updating, general spring cleaning)
  • Networking
  • Interaction with comments/ page visitors
  • Message answering
  • Managing analytics

& so much more!

The scope of what we can do is limitless for social media, you’re in control, you decide what you’d like us to do and when.

For example, by having us curate and schedule your content for your page, you can ensure that there is always fresh and relevant content on your page without having to worry.

By having us take over replying to comments or messages, you can be sure customers get a personal response to their query in a timely manner – great if your business means you’re away from the computer often, in a workshop for example.

By handing over networking duties to us, you can be sure your page gets regular exposure and marketing. This is often one of the most postponed tasks that small business owners put off over and over because they have no time or energy left, and they feel it’s a low priority. It’s really important to always be visible, especially on networking pages and this is a great way to make sure it happens.

Above all else, we work with you to create a package you’re comfortable and happy with, to ensure your social media pages are performing to the best they can be, and you can relax and focus your time and energy elsewhere.

If you have any questions about our social media service, outsourcing, or anything at all, get in touch – we love to chat 🙂

Have a great weekend!
