But even small steps can be taken to remain focused and motivated when it feels like giving up. In this blog post, we’ll take a closer look at some tips and strategies that can help us to stay motivated, focused, and on track, even when the going gets tough.

Take care of yourself – Optimising our sleep, nutrition, and mindset is important for keeping ourselves going. We should practice healthy habits such as getting adequate rest, eating nutritious food, and managing our mental state. It’s essential to be aware of the food we consume and to prioritise looking after ourselves.

Get it out of your head – When we’re overwhelmed, concentrating on the task is hard. To ease this, it can be useful to do a brain dump – putting our thoughts down in words such as a list or journal entry. This can be helpful in clearing our heads and enabling us to direct our attention.

Prioritise – When overwhelmed, it can be tempting to try and do everything at the same time. This may lead to burnout and no progress. It is best to identify which areas are important, rank them and rate them, and then choose one or two to prioritise. Doing this will keep us focused and enable us to accomplish the most important tasks. Learn more about tackling your to do list here.
