Struggle to create content for social media?

What if you had a full bank of content ideas that just needed tweaking to fit your brand?

I created these templates as it was a common issue amongst clients that thinking of social media content was such a pain.

The idea of these templates is to give you an endless stream of ideas, each one can be modified in a multitude of ways on a variety of topics to give you lots of posts.

With these templates not only do you get the framework to help you write them, you also get the reasoning behind the posts and some examples to show you how they can be used.

The idea is you’ll end up with a full bank of content ideas that you just tweak to fit your brand.

The frameworks are just that, frameworks. They’re designed to get you thinking about the types of posts that fit your brand. It’s also worth noting that not every example will fit every brand, but they are very versatile.

Each example provided are completely made up, bar a few that are direct swipes from posts I’ve created previously. Some are inspired by niches my clients are in, some are utterly random. I’ve used a wide variety of niches to give everyone an idea how they can be used to fit their brand.

Experiment with the different types of mediums you use, long form, short form, image, video etc. You can mix and match all of those with the frameworks to find out the best engagement from your audience.

Take the stress out of producing content for social media with this template pack

Here’s an example of one of the posts in the social media template pack:

Industry news jacking & long form opinion piece

Explanation: Industry news jacking combined with an opinion piece is the perfect way to stay relevant and further establish yourself as an authority figure. News jacking is effectively taking a piece of relevant news and adding your spin and opinion on it. You could use a news report sharing statistics, a television programme with relevance to your industry, podcasts, videos; anything that is relevant can be leveraged as content.

Framework: [PIECE OF CONTENT REFERENCING] recently [SHARED/SHOWED/REPORTED ON] [ISSUE/CAUSE/STATISTIC]. This [ISSUE/CAUSE/STATISTIC] is really [EXCITING/SCARY/WORRYING/FANTASTIC] because [HOW IS IT RELEVANT]. Here at [BUSINESS NAME] we [HATE/PRIDE OURSELVES ON/ FEEL THAT…] and have [WAYS THIS IS RELEVANT TO YOU AND YOUR CUSTOMERS].

Alternative wording: The framework for this is highly flexible and is dependant on the type of news you’re sharing. If you’re sharing a statistic from a sewing show, as in my example below, your post will take a different stance as opposed to sharing Royal baby news or a snippet from a David Attenborough programme. You may choose to be controversial with this by stating political or other polarizing views, but this isn’t a stance that is widely accepted by most audiences.

Example: Last night The Great British Sewing Bee shared that 25% of fabric that all home sewers buy is thrown away. As we all know, this is just a growing problem in our fast fashion and wasteful world and is really worrying. We only have to look at programmes like Blue Planet to see the effects these actions have on the environment.

Here at [BUSINESS NAME] we’re choosing to make a change and take a stance with waste. We’re pledging that no scrap material smaller than 10cm will go to waste, along with this we’ve also developed a new environmental policy that outlines all of the ways we’re reducing our waste.

Will you make the pledge with us too?

Everybody knows you have to produce regular content for social media in order to stay visible and increase conversions, but it’s a common complaint that ideas run dry.

Tell me, do any of these sound familiar?

  • You find yourself staring at a blank post box on Facebook
  • You watch your reach plummet with your lack of posting
  • You find yourself constantly apologising for your lack of presence on social media
  • You dread scheduling your social media posts
  • You find yourself posting for the sake of posting, rather than posting anything engaging or useful to your audience
  • You’re constantly aware of your need to improve your social media content

It’s really easy to fall into the trap of big gaps of not posting on social media, followed by a wave of guilt for not posting, followed by a short burst of posts – and repeat. It’s a cycle you can get out of with this social media template pack.
