When Catherine Blackwood came to me, she felt her old website was a bit embarrassing and didn’t feel confident in promoting it. It was outdated and didn’t truly represent who she is or what her business stands for.
The previous site consisted of extensive blocks of text, which made the user experience quite overwhelming.
The goal was to create a fresh, modern look, make navigation easier for visitors, and use high-quality images to showcase her business, ultimately helping Catherine feel proud and confident about her online presence.
Catherine and I had several Zoom calls to ensure the feel and wording were absolutely right. This included refining her messaging and delving into the details. We began by using her existing colour palette in a more sophisticated way that would be both welcoming and professional, perfectly aligning with Catherine’s brand. Rather than cramming everything together, we gave things room to breathe, making it much easier for clients to find what they’re looking for. High-quality photos were essential, so we selected images that truly capture the essence of Catherine’s business and appeal to her audience. Additionally, we streamlined the navigation and added clear calls to action, making it effortless for visitors to navigate and engage with the site.
